They are exactly what they say on the packet! They are a simple face wipe with no added products that will grease your skin up.

I have tried other makeup removers and found that they break my skin out in spots due to the amount of grease that builds up on my skin.

The Simple wipes remove everything including waterproof mascara with out having to rub too hard, they are also fantastic for after dying your hair and you get the colour on your skin, these are great at getting that off too!

What a breath of fresh air! A hair treatment that actually works!

I have recently been lightening my hair ready for the summer, having black hair throughout the winter was great but now the sun has started shining I thought it was time for a change.

I have had a few visits to the hair dressers over the past few weeks, with the most amount of bleach and lightening treatments, so as you can imagine my hair wasnt in the best state. My hairdresser recommended this product to me and hand on heart it makes my hair feel great!

Its a leave in treatment, which doesnt make your hair feel greasy or weighed down, and you can still feel it there the next time you wash your hair,

This has also sorted out the matting that has started to happen underneath, just at the nape of my neck. After wearing so many scarves and my hair rubbing on them it was progressively getting worse.

Well done to L’anza my new best friend!

RRP around £20.00 for 150ml but definately worth it!

It looks like she is having another crisis in the looks department!

She looked fab as a brunette, a little bit more classy! but the harsh blonde makes her look trashy again!

Maybe its a confidence thing. As she always seems to go back to blonde hair after a split.

she wore less make up as a brunette, with a slightly more natural look, but again with the blonde brings heavier, darker makeup!

Sort it out Katie! I like you dark!

So 2011 is well and truely upon us now! So I thought a post on the up and coming fashion and beauty trends for this year.

shocking red lips, shimmering skin and toned down eyeshadow is going to be a big hit this year – going to try this one myself loves the bright red lips and works well with my olive skin tone!

Taylor Swift is a perfect example!

Or alternatively you go for the full 80′s Flourescent, bright electro eyeshadows, rose cheeks and mad lipsticks! Go on have some fun and try them!!

Hair is to be toned down for the winter months, losing the brash reds and icy blondes.

Toning down your colour will save you money in the long run by not having to fork out every two weeks to touch up roots and freshen your reds.

Luckily big hair is still in though, which would look great with either of the makeup looks. Keep it 40′s big with the shocking red lips or have fun and wild with the 80′s Electro!

Don’t forget your nails! berry shades and oranges will be big a hit with everyone!

This face mask is very good for acne prone skin, or just as a great mask in general.

The clear gel mask is easy to peel off and removes dead skin cells.

Its special formula kills the bacteria that cause oily, congested skin all you have to do is leave it on for 15mins, and it starts working within the hour,

It is best to be used twice a week, but you only need a small amount. The gel is very thick so spread with a wooden spatula for even coverage.

I use this particularly when the time of the month is upon me to prevent the hormonal breakout!

Give it a try!

Yet another great product from the crystal clear range!

This is the best method of hair removal (for my legs that I have found)

My mum has done it for years and now only has 1 or 2 hairs that grow back, that can be sorted with a simple tweeze.

When I first started to want to remove the hair from my legs my mum said never shave, oh how I wish I had listened.

They used to grow back thick and stubbly, and with me being slightly olive skinned, very very dark.

it got to the point where I would even get 2 or 3 hairs growing from the same folicle – gross!

So following in the footsteps of my mother I have now started to epilate. Ok, so its not pain free, although the adverts may make it look this way. The pain gets more and more bareable the more times that you do it and for the length of time that you do it. The skin eventually gets numb and used to the pain, but be warned that round the ankles never gets any easier.

The epilator is basically a spring that revolves and grabs the hair to pull it from the root. A bit like waxing but more time consuming.

To help stop the skin from tingling and going bright red afterwards, you can buy sprays that you apply before eplilating, which I have found to work.

The benefits of doing this is :

hair regrowth can take upto 4 weeks

no unsightly stubble

no multi hair folicle regrowth

There are some downfalls too (but what doesnt have them)

painful – but as mentioned you do get used to the pain

ingrowing hairs – you will get these from time to time for a simple squeeze will bring the hair to the surface, which can the be tweezered out.

redness – this nornally only lasts a couple of hours (so dont do them just before you go out)

smoother legs than you can imagine. (no instant regrowth stubble – not attractive on anyone)

I am hoping that if I keep this up as a routine then one day I too will only get a small bit of regrowth.

This is my new found best friend!

I love the conventional eye brow tinting along with my shape and wax, but always found that within a day or so it has faded away.

I have dark brown, nearly black hair but my eyebrows are much lighter in colour to the point that they diappear occasionally – leaving me looking a bit odd!

I have been on the hunt for a good eyebrow definer for a while, I have tried the pencils and home tinting kits, but again found that they faded very quickly.

This is very easy to use, as its just like a felt tip pen, and the colour lasts up until you take it off at night! Fantastic.

I will say that you don’t have a steady hand then you may need a bit of practice, if you miss your natural brow then it can stain the skin slightly. But, for those that want to thicken their eyebrows after over plucking then this is also a bonus.

So the festive period is over! and I bet your skin and body is telling the tale of the copious amounts of junk food and alcohol that you have consumed.

Take the time to sit back and give yourself a break.

Invest in a great detox face pack, drink plenty of water to clear your system and rehydrate your skin.

Why not think of a new hobby or form of exercise! or if you dont fancy venturing out of the house into the dismal weather, why not invest in a interactive dance game, or workout!

I will be starting back on the flabelos machine this month after having a rather long break from it, but the hips are starting to swell again!

if anyone can recommend a good workout DVD / interactive dance game, I would be happy to hear your ideas!

Another fantastic product from the Crystal Clear range.

I have been using this for a good few months now and it is working wonders.

The light texture of the lotion doesn’t feel heavy on the skin at all. It glides on beautifully and wipes away just the same with results shown on the damp cotton pad!

If you use along with the serums and face washes you will start to see results within only a few days.

I used to suffer with blackheads and the occasional mountain, but since using these treatments I barely see any spots now.

Ok so its a little more expensive than your average off the shelf products but it is worth it. A little goes a long way with these products so they do tend to last well.

I love these!

I have been having acrylic nails done for the past 10 years or so and I really cannot live without them now.

They make your life so much easier, no having to worry about painting them, filing, buffing or general maintenance of them (well for at least 3 weeks anyway)

Acrylic nails are built up with a thin layer of plastic (acrylic), it starts out as a powder and is mixed with a purple liquid which then in turn creates a paste.

The nail techincian will build this up thick enough to create the nail and file to shape. The acrylic comes in may different colours and shades, so can be manipulated into shapes to create nail art.

I have tried many different styles, from the simple french look to airbrush designs and I have always been happy with the results that I get.

They can be quite costly costing from around £25.00 for a full set, and £22.50 for a back fill when they grow out. I definately think that they are worth it though.

A good nail techinician will know how to use their drill just enough so that they dont burn your nail beds, which leads me into my next point which is a valid one.

To become a professional nail technician takes a considerable amount of time, so be aware of anyone who has been on the 2 week nail courses and think that they are fully trained. Also be wary of the cheap “American” Style nail salons. I have had my nail beds burnt with the drills in there, and they also put the acrylic right to the cuticle which is not right as the natural nail bed cannot breathe! There should be a small gap between them.
